Are you ready for the challenge of running a busy theatre Department and managing a group of staff? The post is within the Cardiothoracic theatres CHH
We require someone who can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and who has commitment, drive and enthusiasm to drive the development of our services.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective running of the department, providing clinical leadership and managerial support, working as a highly skilled member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, practising a high standard of clinical care and being key to improve the patient’s experience. The post holder will manage the team and encourage the concept of team working, team development and collaboration between team members. You should have had experience of managing complex and difficult situations and have had some experience of managing people. You will be required to demonstrate evidence of change management.
You will need to be prepared to work within a busy environment and be forward thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care.
Applicants should have an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff. You must have a clear idea regarding service development and be a team player with a flexible attitude to meet the service needs. An understanding of cardiothoracic procedures is desirable but not essential.
The post requires an on-call commitment during weekends and bank holidays, and you must be able to attend the hospital within half an hour.
** Salary relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
