Are you a band 5 nurse looking to work somewhere different?

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated registered nurse to jour our friendly multidisciplinary team within the Cardiac Cath labs at Castle Hill Hospital. As a tertiary referral centre, the department covers a local population of approximately 550,000, with a total catchment of 1.2 million, including North East Lincolnshire, Scarborough and York District of North Yorkshire. There are 4 purpose built Cath Labs with modern facilities to perform a wide variety of interventional cardiology procedures including Trans-Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).

Every day in the department is varied and interesting, there is always something new to learn. In the Cath Labs you will be trained to work in a scrub and circulating capacity for a variety of procedures. You will be providing specialist nursing care for both elective and acutely ill patients requiring emergency treatment.  Although your time will predominantly be spent working in the Cath Lab's, there will also be the opportunity to rotate onto the Cardiac Day Ward to provide patient's with pre and post procedure care and also participate in pre-assessment clinics.

The service operates Monday-Friday with an on call team covering emergency cases out of hours and at weekends. Once settled in the department you would then become a member of the on-call team providing emergency care to patients (this is dependent on previous experience and completion of the competency package). On-call duties will enable you to supplement your earnings and the allocation of on-call shifts is flexible.

Previous experience in the area of cardiac nursing and theatre scrub nurse skills are desirable; however there is a comprehensive training and induction package in place to support individuals in developing all the required skills.

**Salary relates to year 3 of current NHS pay deal.
