The post will cover Patient Meals Production Unit (CHH), and Hull Royal Infirmary (HRI) ward catering service and Castle Hill Hospital (CHH), ward catering service.
The successful candidates will have planned daily shifts, but these are subject to change, changes would be verbally agreed by line managers during roster planning.
The post is on a four week roster pattern. The available post and the rota pattern is as per below.
Week 1 - Tuesday (HRI) 08.00 - 13.30pm, Wednesday (HRI )- 08.00 - 13.30pm & 15.00 - 18.30pm, Friday (CHH) Production 6.00 - 13.00pm, Saturday (CHH) Production 11.00 - 18.00pm, Sunday (CHH) Production - 6.00 - 13.00pm

The department operates from 06:00 through to 18:30 7 days a week including public holidays.
The post holder will assist in the provision of a comprehensive and cost-effective catering service that meets the needs of all patients whilst fulfilling the objectives of the Trust.
To provide a full range of high quality ward catering services including the regeneration and attractive presentation of a wide range of cook-freeze food items.
Duties will include the preparation, storage, packaging, distribution, regeneration and service of patient meals. Regularly handling frozen, chilled and cooked food items whilst standing for prolonged periods of time.
Ensure all patient meals are accurate and served in a timely manner.
To undertake a wide range of general kitchen and catering hygiene duties at ward level.
To work in accordance with Food Hygiene Regulations, Codes of Practice for Caterers and all relevant Trust policies.
You must be able to demonstrate good customer/patient care skills, and have a basic knowledge of food service and food hygiene.
Flexibility to work between Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary is essential.
Please note: These roles do involve physical work in an area with varying temperatures.
** Salary relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
