An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our busy Helpdesk team based at Castle Hill Hospital.
The successful applicant will be responsible for answering calls for Portering Services and Non-patient transport requests. The post is based within the switchboard department where you will be also required to assist the switchboard team depending on the needs of the service. Additional training on the switchboard will be given.
Applicants should have a good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent, demonstrate excellent communication skills, be confident in dealing with people on all levels and possess effective keyboard/computer skills. You will be a team player and work well under pressure.
Recent experience of working in a busy switchboard/helpdesk environment is essential.
You must be able to work a rotational shift pattern covering 7 days a week including Bank Holidays and evenings.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
