An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Business Manager to work in Division One (Specialist Surgery – Breast, Dermatology, ENT and Plastics) within the Family and Women’s Health Group.

This position will be a fantastic training opportunity for an aspiring operational manager starting on a Band 5 and subject to achieving all competencies within the year will progress to a Band 6.   We are now looking to recruit a motivated, forward-thinking and dynamic individual to join the existing management team.

Predominantly providing business support to the division you will be working under the guidance of the Business and General Managers. You will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of tasks to assist with the provision of great patient centered care.  Your leadership skills will be developed in this role. 

You will be jointly responsible for the delivery of performance related work centered on Referral to Treatment compliance and access to elective surgical services therefore an understanding of clinical delivery of care would be an advantage. You will work closely with the clinicians and wider divisional teams where your strengths in written and verbal communication skills will support success.  You will have the ability to form effective working relationships and must be a strong team player.

To succeed you must have demonstrable operational management, leadership or supervisory experience. You should have the ability to cope with a large and varied workload.   No two days will be the same in this interesting role, whilst working under pressure and meeting deadlines; therefore a confident, assertive but yet approachable style is essential.
