Ward 7 at Hull Royal Infirmary is a Vascular Surgical ward that takes a combination of waiting list admissions and acute admissions requiring emergency surgery or radiological procedures. It is a demanding and ever changing environment which is both challenging and rewarding.
The ward has a dedicated teacher trainer and an induction period is provided along with a preceptorship programme, and ongoing training sessions to develop skills and knowledge relating to the vascular patient.
We require motivated and dedicated individuals to provide only the very best in patient care, along with the ability to work efficiently within a very busy environment .You must also possess strong decision making skills, high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

As a registered nurse, the successful candidates will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty. Caring for patients who require complex wound management, involving Larvae therapy (maggots), Negative wound Therapy and Compression dressings.
Diabetes management of the surgical vascular patient is important part of the role and developing patient’s knowledge relating to Diabetes with the support of the Diabetic nurse specialist team.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
