Two exciting opportunities to join Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Patient Meals Catering Services Team have become available due to staff progression.

2 x part time posts 29 hours per week (averaged over a four week roster period) are available to join the wider Patient Meals Service team in the delivery and service of patient meals at Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary.

Responsible for the supervision of catering staff employed in the provision of high quality, Patient Meals  which meet the needs of all patient groups, and fulfils the objectives of the Trust. 

To promote and maintain best practice in all areas of the Patient Meals Catering service, including the effective ordering, storage, preparation, regeneration and service of patient meals. Working on projects to reduce waste and achieve full compliance with food safety.

The successful post holders will work between Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital supporting the Patient Meals Services teams.

The successful post holders will be required to work in an environment with varying temperatures including freezers and a physical demand of standing and walking for frequent periods of time during the working day is essential.

The shifts are on a four week rotation and will include weekends and public holidays.

Shifts worked within the department are as follows:

06:00-14:00, 07:30-13:30, 10:00-18:00 and 10:30-18:30

The department operates between the hours of 06:00am and 18:30pm 7 days a week and slight variations to working hours will be discussed with the successful candidates at interview.

Please note: This position covers both sites the successful post holder will require access to transport for travelling between sites. Flexibility with working hours is essential and shifts will be agreed in advance and are subject to change.
