The Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has a vacancy for a Band 3 Programme Administrator. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week), working Monday-Friday each week with a requirement to provide office cover until 5.00pm on a rota basis. The post is for a period of 12 months from commencement in post.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual to provide and coordinate administrative services to the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Improvement Programme. The postholder will primarily be based at Castle Hill Hospital but there will be the need to also work from Hull Royal Infirmary to be able to fulfil the duties of this role. The purpose of the HUTH Improvement Programme is to facilitate the delivery of the Trust’s Vision and long-term goals and promote its values through the provision of expertise and capacity to support teams in designing and implementing new ways of working that improve the quality of care we provide for patients and the productive and effective use of our resources.
The Postholder will be expected to provide a range of administrative skills which include arranging meetings, preparation of agendas and papers, taking minutes, booking suitable venues and taking appropriate follow-up action as required, for various programme/project and team meetings. The role will also include assisting with managing and maintaining the diaries of the Programme Director and Programme Manager, as well as other general office duties.
The Postholder will be working as part of a team, providing a supporting role to assist the delivery of projects and will be the first point of contact for incoming calls and emails for the team. Previous experience of working within a project or programme management function would be desirable but not essential. Excellent keyboard skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Word packages are essential attributes for this post.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work calmly and confidently under pressure. You will be required to use your own initiative, and have an ability to prioritize work in order to keep on top of the workload of this very active team. This is a busy and varied role, one which requires the post holder to have a flexible approach to working and their duties.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake a skills assessment as part of the interview process. The interviews will be held on Thursday 30th May 2019 at Hull Royal Infirmary.
** Salary relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
