Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant ENT Surgeon.
Candidates are sought to fill this full-time post on a fixed term basis of twelve months.
The successful applicant will join a department consisting of seven full-time Consultant Surgeons, one Associate Specialist, one Staff Grade and four Registrars. The post will involve the provision of general ENT with an interest in paediatric surgery.
The ENT Department is primarily based on the Castle Hill Hospital site in the Centenary Building with an inpatient ward shared jointly with the Breast and Plastic Reconstructive Service, and dedicated outpatient and audiological facilities. The department is also the Regional Centre for Head and Neck Cancer Services. In addition, the service provides paediatric and day surgery sessions at the Hull Royal Infirmary as well as managing ENT emergencies through the acute site.
To succeed you must be registered (or eligible to be registered) with the GMC with a licence to practise and be on the Specialist Register (or eligible within 6 months of the date of interview), as well as have a strong history of delivering clinical care, and outstanding communication skills.
The Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute and elective services over two hospital sites with a based population of around 650,000 with specialist services aimed at an extended catchment area of 1.2 million people.
