An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Infection Prevention & Control Team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Are you passionate about infection prevention & control, making a difference to patient care and improving patient outcomes - then come and join an evolving and dynamic Department of Infection.
This post will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their Infection Prevention and Control skills as a member of the team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Evidence of significant post-registration experience is essential -training and/or experience in Infection Prevention and Control is preferable including link practitioner experience.
Reporting to the Senior Infection Prevention & Control Nurses/ Lead Nurse Department of Infection the successful candidate will work both autonomously and as part of the Infection Prevention Team across sites, striving to minimise risk from healthcare associated infection.
The post will support, develop and implement systems to improve the quality of Infection Prevention and Control management, by the delivery of National Directives to develop local quality, patient safety and safe systems of working for staff. You must have good organisational skills and the ability to influence others.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work, acting as a role model across disciplines. You will provide clear leadership for infection prevention & control across the sites, influencing and improving the quality of care delivered to our patients.
** Salary relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
