You will join the 12 current Consultant Gastroenterologists providing high quality Gastroenterology and Hepatology care to a population of over 600,000 in Hull and East Yorkshire, and tertiary care services to a wider catchment area of 1.2 million.

The department has established expertise in IBD, Hepatology and therapeutic endoscopy. There are 2 busy endoscopy units (8 rooms) which are JAG and bowel cancer screening accredited. Endoscopic training is a strong focus of the department, which is also home to the renowned East Yorkshire School of Endoscopy. The integrated IBD clinical and research team is supported by 4 IBD specialist nurses, IBD administrator, 2 research nurses and clinical trial co-ordinator. The unit has a philosophy of personalised care with strong commitment to research, and is one of the most research active units in the country.

The post is mainly to support the integrated IBD service and deliver its strategy although any additional complementary skills & interests may be encouraged for the suitable candidate.
