The Surgery Health Group is looking for an outstanding individual to join the nursing leadership team in the Major Trauma Centre Ward/ Neurosurgical HOB on ward 40 HRI.
The Major Trauma Centre in Hull covers a network of approximately 1 million in population and serves Scarborough, York, Grimsby and Scunthorpe. As the band 6 clinical ward lead for the MT ward/HOB you will take patients directly from the Emergency department and other trauma units.
The MTC unit provides a wide range of specialist procedures involving multiple specialities to Hull and East Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will act as the clinical lead for the Major Trauma Ward predominantly but may also work within the HOB when required
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised individuals who are keen to support the Sister/Charge Nurse in the everyday running of the unit. It is desirable to have experience within a leadership role. It is expected that the junior sister will deputise in the absence of the Sister / Charge Nurse and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care ensuring the right care in the right place at the right time.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, IT skills and experience with MTC patients would be beneficial, however there is a comprehensive ongoing educational programme running in the unit.
The applicant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing the service. The ability to work independently as well as within a dedicated team to provide a high quality patient experience is essential.

** Salary relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
