Trust Grade Post – Fixed Term (up to one year)

An opportunity has arisen in the department of Neurology for a Trust Grade Registrar level post for Neurology. The post is integral in delivering outpatient and inpatient care in a busy department.

Neuroscience services in Hull have developed rapidly over the last few years and there is an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. Hull is a Neuroscience centre with Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neurophysiology, Stroke, Rehabilitation and Liaison Psychiatry departments. The post is one of 5 specialist registrars, 2 Specialty doctors and one research fellow to join a team of 7 neurologists in a tertiary care neurosciences centre equipped with interventional neuroradiology and neurosurgical support. Any sub specialisation will be considered.

The Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services from two hospital sites with some specialised services aimed at an extended catchment area of 1.2 million people. The Trust now forms part of the Hull York Medical School with both the NHS Trusts and Universities of Hull and York.

This is a full time post with no substantive on-call commitments within the 1:6 rota for Neurology but there may be opportunities for locum on-call within the Medical rota and within Neurology which will be re-numerated.
