An exciting Opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology Theatre and Recovery Department, we have a vacancy for One full time Band 5 Nurse/Perioperative Practitioner.
The department is a very busy unit undertaking all aspects of Adult Ophthalmic Surgery within the Eye Hospital and Paediatric Ophthalmic Surgery in the Main Hull Royal Infirmary Theatres. The unit consists of three theatres and a six bay recovery unit.
The Ophthalmic Theatres presently operates between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday, with hours worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service and staff rotating through all areas of the Ophthalmic Theatre Suite. There is an On Call commitment for Weekends and Bank Holidays
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and caring registered practitioner who is able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice to join this very busy Theatre and Recovery Suite. You must possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills.
Theatre and Post Anaesthetic Care skills with a recognised Theatre Qualification is desirable but not essential, as our patients undergo Ophthalmic Surgical Procedures following a variety of anaesthetic techniques.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
