Salary Scale: Band 5
Post 1: Full time 37.5 hours (there is a requirement to contribute to weekend working as part of a rota to support the 7 Day service). Base: Castle Hill hospital
Post 2: Part time 20.5 hours (Monday 7.5 hours , Tuesday-Friday 3.25 hours each afternoon) Base: Hull Royal Infirmary
Band 5 Exercise Professional/Instructor An excellent opportunity has arisen for two highly motivated Exercise Practitioners to provide a high standard of physiotherapeutic interventions for patients undergoing surgery across a range of specialities including; upper GI, colo-rectal, and plastic surgery. In addition the post holder will contribute to the delivery of therapeutic sessions for inpatients to support progression to discharge
We are seeking an enthusiastic band 5 instructor, who is flexible, confident, and able to work independently within a multi-professional team. The key aspects of the post include delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive post- surgical rehabilitation service working together with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
This post will involve patient assessment; goal setting, exercise prescription and progression, promotion of evidence based practice and education and training. In addition the post holder with contribute to the on-going development of the service. Successful applicants will need to have experience delivering rehabilitation exercises within a health care setting and experience and understanding of the NHS. You will have experience of health promotion, be patient focused, supportive and empathetic and also able to motivate and encourage your client group. Applicants must have evidence of study at Degree level in Sport Science, Therapy or Rehabilitation which includes anatomy & physiology subjects
