Quality Manager, Band 6
Applicants are invited for the post of Quality Manager within Radiology based at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
This a newly created post and will be responsible for managing the quality & governance systems within Radiology, working closely with the multi-disciplinary Radiology team.
You will manage and facilitate the effective use of the IT infrastructure (introduction of the newly acquired Q-Pulse management system) to underpin quality systems and processes and compliance activities. In doing so you will play a key role in supporting Radiology in meeting QSI standards and so attain and maintain UKAS accreditation.
You will support members of the senior multi-professional team to enable them to maintain and develop procedures and related quality documentation underpinning Radiology Service delivery.
You will monitor quality and performance metrics as directed and prepare reports detailing quality deviations and exceptions.
You will work with Quality Managers in other areas of the Clinical Support Health Group to ensure consistent and effective provisioning of support systems to support the delivery of the quality agenda.
You will support delivery of key clinical audit, service evaluation and quality improvement projects by using the most appropriate quality improvement techniques/methodologies and offer clinical audit and quality improvement advice/support to health professionals and teams within the Imaging Division as required.
You will have experience of working as a quality professional with extensive knowledge and experience of quality management, including the benefits of using quality standards, co-ordinating a quality system and experience of data quality and clinical audit.
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HEY Trust) is situated in the geographical area of Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has two main hospital sites (Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital) an annual budget of circa £500 million, employs over 9,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.2 million, whilst delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the local health economy area.
The Trust’s secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support
services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.
The Trust provides specialist and tertiary services to a catchment population of between 1.05 million and 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and
Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively. The only major services not provided locally are transplant surgery, major burns and some specialist paediatric services.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
