 Registered Children’s Nurse, Acorn Ward

 Agenda for Change Band 5

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Paediatric Surgical Nursing team based on Acorn Ward.

The post is 37.5 hours to work flexibly over a seven day service with differing shift patterns covering 24/7 service.

The role may involve rotation and or covering of shifts within other parts of the Paediatric Unit to meet the needs of the service.

Children and young people are admitted to acorn ward for planned and emergency surgery for a variety of specialties including:

General Surgery

Orthopaedic

Ophthalmology

Maxillofacial

Plastic Surgery

Ear Nose and Throat

We are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering high quality care with a positive and caring attitude, have excellent communication skills and be committed to the HEY NHS Trust Vision and Values. The successful applicants will be motivated to learn and share new ideas for improving patients experience and services. Demonstrate a commitment to working within a busy multidisciplinary team delivering care to children and young people and families in clinics. Flexibility and team working are essential for the role and demands of the department along with being able to adapt to changing situations.
