Orthopaedic Clinical Research Fellow

Applications are invited for an Orthopaedic clinical Research fellow based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Hull, UK for the duration of 6 months with potential to increase it for 12 months. Weekly timetable would be divided in 70:30, with 70% research and 30% devoted clinical time. This post does not involve a regular commitment to the on call rota, however there may be opportunity to participate in out of hours work.

Applicants must hold full GMC registration. Applicants should also possess the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, have good interpersonal skills, and have a caring attitude towards patients and evidence of good clinical practice.

The successful applicant should well be versed with research methods and some knowledge of statistics is essential. Prior research experience is desirable. The successful applicant will be involved in writing a systematic review and completion of a funding application and will be expected to join ongoing research.

The research fellow will be based at Hull royal Infirmary and will work with professor Hemant Sharma. There is the potential to collaborate with Hull University and York trials unit.
