An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join our team on the Neurology and stroke rehab ward. We are looking for staff nurses to provide a dynamic approach to their work and demonstrate their commitment, drive and passion in an ever changing environment, caring for patients who have suffered a stroke, encouraging them throughout there rehabilitation process, you will also work closely with neurology patients with a range of complex health issues.
The ward and unit are very busy environments, specialising in stroke interventions such as caring for patients who have received thrombolysis and thrombectomy. looking after neurology patients with complex diagnosis and rehabilitation needs. The ward is linked to the acute stroke unit and is also soon to become the thrombectomy centre for the region, covering from Grimsby to York.
This will require the successful candidate to be enthusiastic in delivering excellent care and enhancing the patient experience. We require motivated and dedicated individuals to provide the very best in patient care, along with the ability to work efficiently within in a very busy environment. The post holder must have the desire to enhance their nursing skills within the speciality.
We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team who we are fortunate to have based on the ward. Therefore, you must possess great inter-personal skills and the ability to work within such a self-motivated and vibrant team.
You will have a supernumery period alongside a preceptorship package to ease you into your new nursing career. Our Stroke co-ordinators and Consultants also provide on going training sessions to develop skills and knowledge in relation to stroke and neurology care.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
